New resource to support general practice in undertaking STI contact tracing
In Australia, general practice is the main provider of sexual health care and contact tracing is an important part of a comprehensive STI control program. Evidence, from surveys and research, shows that many doctors are unaware of their responsibilities around contact tracing. Some of the barriers identified include their perceived lack of written guidelines, skills and experience.
A new resource is now available online to support busy GPs in undertaking STI contact tracing:
