UPDATED Practice Management and Accreditation Webpage

Julie McLean, CPD Facilitator Officer - Wednesday 01 June, 2011

Check out the New Practice Management and Accreditation web page! Since arriving at CSGPN only a few short months ago, there has been a lot to learn and a lot of information to go through. Now that I have been able to find my feet, I’ve had the opportunity to read all the comments and feedback we have received about Practice Support and Accreditation at CSGPN. What we have been hearing is that you would like us to provide increased support to practice managers and improve the content on the webpage. So I have given the people what they want!

The new look Practice Management and Accreditation webpage now includes more information and resources for practices seeking help with accreditation and the Practice Incentive Program, including links to other information sites and key organisations. There is now also a section for Practice Managers featuring information on training opportunities and course providers, professional organisations and the changing role of practice teams in the general practice environment. The new webpage features:

  • Links to important organisations such as RACGP, AGPAL, GPA Plus, Medicare and the Australian Practice Managers Association (AAPM).
  • Information sheets for download including: how to register for accreditation; Asthma; Diabetes and Cervical Screening Quick guides; and the RACGP Standards of General Practice.
  • The CSGPN PIP Income Estimator which is a new tool developed to help practices assess their potential PIP income, and contains current CSGPN local population data.
  • Information from various training providers on formal courses in practice management, medical reception, health service management and diploma courses. There is also information about how to establish a traineeship for medical reception or practice management.
  • Checklists and resources to assist with accreditation preparation including resources to help first-time practices. These resources will continue to grow and change over time in response to demand.

So have a look at the new site and check out all the great new resources and links for your practice. Remember that this webpage is designed for you so if there is something you would like to see posted or information you consider should be featured, please give me your feedback. There is a feedback section on each webpage to complete or you can contact myself directly. We value all comments and will endeavor to ensure this page is a vital resource for your practice.
