By the time Aboriginal children are ready for school they have generally received their vaccinations. However the problem with vaccination schedules and Aboriginal children is compliance with the schedule. The problem for immunisation providers is tracking children through medical records, Medicare and ACIR.
GPNSW posed the question to NSW Health of where and when can registered and authorised nurse immunisers immunise patients?
NSW Health is currently taking orders for influenza vaccine however deliveries will not commence until early March.
